Let's Vote Like Our Lives Depend On It... They Do!
We welcome you to Vote Positive USA.
Together, we will ensure that our voices and votes are counted in the high-stakes 2020 election.
We’re voting as if our lives depend on it, because they do.
Health care. Reproductive justice. LGBTQ dignity and freedom. Racial justice. Safety for queer and trans people. Sanctuary for all. Climate justice.
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, an uprising to #DefendBlackLife, and increasing white supremacist violence, more lives than ever hang in the balance.
Vote Positive USA is powered by a groundbreaking network of women and people of transgender experience living with HIV across the United States. We’ve built a powerful movement, accumulating local, state and national policy victories through a committed network of members and allies.
What some call “integrated voter engagement” is what we do every day: connecting our real-life issues and electoral organizing to build long-term power, fueled by love for our families, our communities, and our vision of justice.
We know what it takes to mobilize “hard to reach” voters – because they are talking about us. It’s where we live, it’s what we do. Everything is at stake in this election — especially for women and trans people living with HIV. But our entire lives have prepared us for this moment.
We invite you to take the Vote Positive pledge to get involved to protect health care and human rights in 2020. We would also appreciate donations of any amount that you can make towards this work:
- Vote Positive USA leaders are active in anchor teams in 9 states and as thousands of individuals across the nation.
- We’re supercharging our engagement work for the 2020 election cycle, leveraging our deep organizing and community trust in key states, leading Get Out the Vote (GOTV) efforts in our cities, congressional districts, and states as trusted and well-informed community members.
- We’re speaking up to candidates and elected officials about the issues that affect our lives: health care access, reproductive justice, LGBTQ rights, racial justice, the prison industrial complex, and more.
- And we’re ensuring that all of us can exercise our right to vote (including voting by mail and other ways that enable us to stay safe and healthy), and poised to document and report irregularities.
Everything is at stake in this election for the HIV community.
We’ve been organizing, resisting, and fighting for justice for our people for decades.
Our entire lives have prepared us for this moment.
Thank you for joining us to Vote Positive USA.
